1977 – 2024: Fraternité Valléenne’s major accomplishments
1977 – 1980 - In partnership with CODEVA, FV financed the construction of the first community Hospital in La Vallée 1977 – 1980: FV collaborated with CODEVA to finance the construction of La Vallée’s first community hospital. 1985 – 1988: Financial support was provided by FV for road construction and maintenance led by CODEVA. 1990 – 1994: FV partnered with CODEVA to finance the construction of Lycée Philippe Jules. 1994 - 1995: FV funded the expansion of Lycée Philippe Jules in cooperation with CODEVA. 1997 – 1999: FV supported the improvement of the open market, Marché Ridoré. 1999 – 2000: FV sponsored the maintenance of Bouchereau’s soccer field. 2001 – 2006: In collaboration with CODEVA, FV built La Vallée’s community library. 2002: FV subsidized additional teachers for Lycée Philippe Jules. 2003 – 2004: FV contributed to the construction of Ternier’s water tower. 2004: FV constructed the “Bicentennial Park” in Ridore. 2006 – 2011: FV, in partnership with the Brothers (F.I.C), contributed to the construction of La Vallée’s technical school (ETFAG). 2007: FV established a computer lab at “L’Ecole St Paul” (Daughters of Marie). 2008: FV provided financial relief to La Vallée’s hurricane victims. 2008: FV supported the upgrade of solar energy equipment for St. Joseph Hospital. 2010: FV partially funded St. Joseph Hospital employee compensation. 2010: FV dedicated a statue in honor of La Vallée’s parish founder, Reverend Father Leon Bonnaud. 2010: FV sponsored the 2010 earthquake relief effort and funded the repair of earthquake-damaged schools in La Vallée. 2007 – 2018: FV established the Alphonse Lauture Scholarship Fund for La Vallée’s students. 2007 – 2019: FV sponsored reforestation programs in various La Vallée communities. 2012 – 2019: FV sponsored the Fraternité Valléenne English as a New Language (ENL) Program. 2013: FV restored the library honoring Sister Josepha Duré at St. Paul School. 2013 – 2015: FV provided basic medicine and medical supplies to Morne à Bruler’s clinic. 2013 – 2016: FV organized summer camps for La Vallée teens and foreign students from Pennsylvania, USA. 2012 – 2015: FV supported the construction of the FV Cultural Center of Tuff, an initiative of FV of CT. 2014 – 2017: FV launched a fundraising effort to build a secondary school in Morne à Bruler. 2016: FV’s subcommittee “Les Amis de St. Paul” was established to coordinate F.V.’s School Lunch Program. 2017: FV debuted “Vallee’s Angels” in honor of Innocia D.
